HAPPY NEW YEAR HAIKU CONTEST
& PAINTING GIVEAWAY
I recently learned that crows have been known to give gifts to humans. They leave shiny trinkets on bird feeders and on doorsteps. Birds have given me many things in the form of inspiration, hope and positive energy. To continue this circle of giving I thought it would be nice to offer a contest with a bird theme.
Enter to win with your own haiku* about crows or any bird or in response to an Arleigh Wood painting.
Send entries** to art@arleighwood.com with “haiku contest entry” in the subject line.
Contest closes Dec 20, 2009. Prize winner will be announced January 1, 2010.
Good luck and thank you!
*a Haiku is written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables
**please note that your entries may be published online and could be used as inspiration for a new series of work or their titles
