Gram comes to see the works about her life in Britannia : Stolen Lives: A Historical exhibit at the Britannia Mine Museum
Apr 8th, 2012 by admin
My Gram, Aunt Alice and I drove up to the Britannia Mine Museum to visit the exhibit that told the story of many Japanese Canadian living in BC in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. My grandmother is 94 years old and was only 5 when she lived in Britannia but still remembers the community and recognizes the houses in the area from archival photographs in the exhibit. The visit brought back many memories and gave the whole family a boost.
