Fresh new work inspired by accident

So one day I was driving to the studio after many months of unsatisfying attempts at making new work and I accidentally drove over an entire truckload of dumped whole salmon on the road.  It was a bit of a smelly and gutfilled scene which required some cleaning (of both my truck and my memory banks).  Anyways somehow this ugly and unlucky day transformed into the sweetest freshest studio day of the year for me.  This first painting was born (see the 1st image below) and since then the work has been flowing. Maybe this event dislodged the inspiration block and allowed the images from my memory to the flow onto the paper. So friends hold your nose and enjoy the ride ;)
